WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (Exponent) - A Purdue professor thinks off-campus graduate students bring a different perspective to engineering graduate courses.
Purdue’s online engineering graduate school was recently ranked fourth in the Best Engineering Online Programs category by the U.S. News & World Report. The rankings are based on peer evaluation, student engagement, faculty credentials and training, student services and technology support and admissions selectivity.
Douglas Adams, the Kenninger professor of renewable energy and power systems, said off-campus students can bring new ideas to their classes. On-campus students apply theory to their theses and off-campus students can apply it to their jobs.
