WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (Exponent) - Many members of Purdue’s Greek community have reacted to the suspension of Beta Theta Pi with words of support or sympathy.
Purdue officials suspended Beta Theta Pi from campus after the University and the fraternity’s national office determined that the fraternity violated alcohol and hazing regulations.
Chris Cooper, a brother of Alpha Kappa Lambda, said he saw the events as an opportunity for all houses to check their compliance with University and Interfraternity Council policies.
“No one wants to see another house get in trouble or get put on probation,” Cooper said. “Hopefully some sort of good can come from the situation.”
