WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (Exponent) - While the new bus system during fraternity recruitment was somewhat disappointing, the Interfraternity Council recruitment chair said it laid a foundation for next year.
As IFC recruitment chair, Matt Murphy, a junior in the School of Management, oversees all initiatives involving fraternity recruitment. This year, one of the initiatives was to enhance universal rush dates by using a bus system to transport potential new members to houses.
Murphy expressed disappointment in the number of men who used the buses and said it might have been due to a lack of time to advertise.
