College welcomes 'visionary' as department head

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (Exponent) - A new department head from Tunisia in the College of Technology asks the faculty to put students above everything.

Dr. Fatma Mili is the new department head of computer and information technology.

It took two years for the search committee to find Mili, during which professor Jeffrey L. Brewer was the interim department head.

Alka Harriger, professor and associate department head of computer and information technology, said Mili's dedication to the college and the department is what impressed her the most.
