The Salvation Army and WLFI are proud to sponsor the 2nd annual Tools for School program. Tools for School offers free school supplies and clothing for children who attend school within Tippecanoe and Benton County.
Last year, thanks to our sponsors and the generosity of the community, we helped raise over 9,000 items for more than 750 students.
To support this effort, WLFI , Regions Bank, Subway, Pay Less Super Market and Sigma Medical Group are currently accepting school supplies July 23 -August 10. Click HERE for a complete list of accepted Items.
Click HERE for locations to drop-off donations. Donations may be dropped off at any participating Regions Bank, Subway, Pay Less Super Market, Sigma Medical Group or The Salvation Army. Financial donations will be accepted at the Salvation Army and used to purchase any shortage of supplies.
The Salvation Army expects to help over 800 area children with school supplies.
Families who need assistance with school supplies this year should come to The Salvation Army on Saturday, August 11 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
They should bring with them a picture I.D., social security cards for each household member, and proof of family income.
For those wishing to volunteer, help is needed on the day of the event. The Salvation Army is running two shifts: one from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.; one shift from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
If you would like more information about Tools for School, or would like to volunteer, please contact The Salvation Army at 765-742-0006.
