LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - On March 24, WLFI hosted an electronic waste recycling and prescription drug drop-off event.
In a continuing commitment to Living Green With 18, WLFI, Bob Rohrman Auto Group, Oscar Winski, and Evonik have teamed up to make this a free event to the public.
Drop-off locations were at Cumberland Park on Salisbury Street and Oscar Winski’s 9th Street location. The event will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. We will be accepting old televisions, computers, printers, monitors and any other electronics.
We also accepted expired and unused prescription drugs to help keep the items out of waterways and landfills.
“These events are so important to the community and the environment,” said Marc Elliott, General Manager of WLFI. He also added, “This is one way we can give back to the community and keep these items out of the landfills.”
