"I am fond of my alma mater (University of Iowa) and my former home (University of Illinois) but my loyalties are with Purdue now. Great university, superb athletics, first-class people," says Cleff.

He was the morning show anchor and midday anchor at WICD-TV from October 2004 to January 2006 and worked in the sports department from January 2006 to April 2006. He was also anchored the morning show, was a fill-in midday anchor, and high school football reporter/photographer from April 2006 to October 2006.

Mike is an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and says he's still celebrating their 2006 World Series Championship.

Mike loves movies of all types. He says he's a terrible golfer and lost 14 golf balls during a recent round of golf.

Mike happily spoils his six nephews (Nick, Evan, Ryan, Cameron, Keaton and Graham) and three nieces (Sarah, Katie and Madelyn).
