Elisabeth Rentschler joined WLFI in January of 2012 as multi-platform journalist.

Elisabeth was born and raised in Belvidere, Ill. She attended the University of Missouri School of Journalism and graduated with a Bachelor of Journalism degree in May 2010.

While at Mizzou, she was involved with the Delta Delta Delta sorority. She also participated as a Mizzou cheerleader.

Elisabeth worked as a news intern at WTTG Fox 5 in Washington, D.C. She also was a sports intern with Comcast Sportsnet in Chicago.

Elisabeth loves all sports, but she is especially a fan of Chicago sports, including the Bears, Blackhawks, Bulls and Cubs.

In her free time, Elisabeth likes to exercise and read, and she admits she is a sucker for reality TV.

Elisabeth also likes to take the three-hour drive back to her hometown when she can to visit her family, friends and two boxers, Stewie and Lennox.
