WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - WLFI is committed to furthering journalism training and education. We offer internships in all three semesters of the school year: fall, spring and summer.
Our news interns get a full look at what a broadcast media station does and how WLFI gets the latest news to viewers. Interns take on different roles in the newsroom every day and will become familiar with broadcast writing, non-linear editing and much more.
There are a few requirements that must be met to be eligible for our internships:
- You must be a full-time college student in your junior or senior year.
- You must be majoring in a communications-linked field, i.e., journalism, broadcast media, communications, etc.
- You must complete a minimum of 10 weeks’ work with 15 hours per week, which must be given in college credit.
If you’re interested in WLFI’s internship program, find out how to apply by contacting Assistant News Director Keith Hatten via email or by phone at 765-463-1800.
