Title: Sports Reporter

“If you want to accomplish anything worthwhile, you have to be willing to work harder than anyone else.”

Caleb Noe, a WLFI sports anchor and reporter, started with WLFI in March of 2017.

As a young kid, Caleb regularly pulled all-nighters using his family’s home camcorder to create “sports broadcasts”. Now, he does that for a living (including the all-nighters).

Before starting at WLFI, Caleb was a News Reporter at WYMT-TV (CBS) in Kentucky, and won seven Associated Press Broadcasters Awards in two years, including the overall ‘Best Multimedia Reporter’.
His love for sports then brought him here to West Lafayette!

Caleb was born and raised in a sports-crazed town just south of Louisville, Kentucky called Mt. Washington (So he’s naturally a college sports fanatic). He graduated from Bullitt East High School where he played five sports (Football, Soccer, Basketball, Track, Cross Country).

He later attended college and graduated from the University of Pikeville, where he continued his football career as a Kicker/Punter. His best stat-line was hitting 3/3 field goals (29, 37, 40) and making three touchdown-saving tackles in a single game.

Caleb spent five years working at various radio stations (KUCA, WMKY, WRLV) as an on-air talent and sports play-by-play broadcaster. He also interned at three different television stations during college.

Two of Caleb’s best broadcasting memories include following Lincoln Memorial University through the NCAA D2 tournament, all the way to the National Championship game; and covering the entire journey of Jordan Smith – Winner of “The Voice” Season 9.

Caleb is thrilled to be covering Purdue and local high school sports. If you see him in your town, make sure to say hello.
