South side home fire still under investigation

A fire that destroyed a home just south of downtown Lafayette is still under investigation.

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — A fire that destroyed a home just south of downtown Lafayette is still under investigation.

Crews responded to 255 Smith St. around 11 o'clock Tuesday morning.

The house was engulfed when they arrived.

The inspector on scene says there was no one in the house and there are no injuries.
