Police investigating reports of shots fired at Briarwood Apartments

Lafayette police are investigating two reports of shots fired over the weekend.

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Lafayette police are investigating two reports of shots fired over the weekend.

The first one happened around 7:15 p.m. on Richmond Court in Cambridge Estates.

Police say they found evidence that shots had been fired.

They heard reports of a vehicle leaving the scene.

They found the vehicle nearby on Grenadier Lane, it had been hit by a bullet.

Around 7:15 Saturday night, they were called to Briarwood Court for reports of numerous shots fired.

They found a car and the door to an apartment had been struck.

No one was injured at either scene.
