Monticello woman dead after Sunday morning crash

WHITE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — A Monticello woman is dead after a crash in White County over the weekend.

Around 3:15 Sunday morning, police and fire officials were called to State Road 39 and Woodhaven Court, just north of US 24.

The White County Sheriff's Department said 20-year-old Brehannah Graves was traveling south on State Road 39 when her car hit a deer, swerved off the highway and hit a utility pole. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The highway was closed for five hours as the scene was investigated.
