MONTICELLO, Ind. (WLFI) — The annual Lakes Area Home & Garden Show is opening its doors for the spring season.

Homeowners and exhibitors are showcasing displays of their businesses to gain recognition from the community.

Home-related products and services such as furniture, plumbing and more are offered throughout the event.

Show Host Jaime Valle said the event is so popular they had to extend the hours.

"We changed the show hours we moved them up an hour and lessened them an hour," Valle said. "It's the same amount of time but we moved it up because we noticed people lining up at the doors and we have those early risers."

The event will continue tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Best Western and Brandywine Complex in Monticello.
