Lafayette Jeff tops West Lafayette 41-40 to claim Franciscan Health Hoops Classic championship

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Marell Jordan scored a game-high 23 points to lift Lafayette Jeff over the West Lafayette 41-40 in the Franciscan Health Hoops Classic championship Saturday night at the Crawley Center.

The senior Jordan earned tournament MVP honors.

The win marked Scott Radeker's fourth title in eight seasons as head coach of the Bronchos.

Matt Krause paced the Red Devils with 15 points on 6-21 shooting. 

3rd Place:
McCutcheon def. Central Catholic, 86-42
*Robert Phinisee finished with 39 points, 9 rebounds, 7 steals and 5 assists to propel the Mavericks past the Knights.

5th Place:
Harrison def. Twin Lakes, 69-53
*Benito Munoz recorded 27 points, Calvin Walters added 15 and Harrison rolled past the Indians.

7th Place:
Frankfort def. Benton Central, 45-37
*The Hot Dogs notched their 1,500 win in school history.
