Dayton Elementary closes early Monday

School dismissed after extended power outage

DAYTON, Ind. (WLFI) - Students at Dayton Elementary are home from school much earlier than expected today. The school was dismissed at 10:30 a.m. this morning due to a power outage.

According to Duke Energy's power outage website, the power went out about 7:30 a.m. this morning.

The power is expected to be restored later today.

There has been no information released from Duke on what led to the outage.
