WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Lafayette and West Lafayette police are investigating a YouTube video posted of a student on top of a crane in a West Lafayette construction site.

According to LPD, the department was contacted by the principal of Central Catholic Junior-Senior High School Wednesday. A YouTube video apparently showed a student on top of a crane at the "Rise at Chauncey" apartment complex in West Lafayette.

According to WLPD's Captain David Vanvactor, the student was brought in and advised of the dangers. The student received a warning of trespassing. The case was forwarded to juvenile probation for review.

The video has since been taken down.

It is unknown how the student got into the construction site. The area is fenced off and no trespassing signs are posted.
