INDIANA (WLFI) — A new law aiming to keep sex offenders from living next door to their victims goes into effect July 1st.
Governor Eric Holcomb signed it into law Monday. The new law states that a sex offender who knowingly lives within a one-mile radius of their victim commits an invasion of privacy.

Previously, this law only applied to sex offenders whose victims were minors. Sex offenders are also prohibited from attending places of worship located on school property while classes or other school activities are being held.
