WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI)-- Corvette owners are driving around to raise awareness for local veterans.

The Lafayette Star City and Lafayette Corvette Clubs host the annual event at the Indiana Veterans Home. Owners of corvettes from Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, and Michigan were in attendance.

Drivers came together to ride along State Road 43 to raise awareness for veterans in need.

Star City Lafayette President Phil Nace said this is a great way for people to learn about the organization.

"All of us have veterans in our family," Nace said. "Some of us are veterans and so it's great to see the community and not only the local areas but the states around us support this event."

Nace said the goal of the event is to inspire others to get involved. A list of donations needed can be found here.
