Jared Thomas wins 61st Purdue Grand Prix despite kart issues

After the race, Thomas found out his kart was having issues for the last 70 laps of the race.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — The Pudue Grand Prix is known as the greatest spectacle in college racing; so winning the race is something many can only dream of.

That dream came true for a rookie Saturday.

Jared Thomas, of IUPUI Motorsports Club took the checkered flag.

After the race, Thomas found out his kart was having issues for the last 70 laps of the race.
