CARROLL COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — Two sisters have been arrested for attacking their stepfather in Carroll County.

Laura Jungels and Christina Wright face preliminary charges of burglary and battery.

Sheriff Tobe Leazenby said deputies were called to a home in northeast Carroll County Saturday night. They found the two sisters had broken into their 80-year-old stepfather's home.

Investigators believe a verbal altercation turned physical and the sisters started to attack their stepfather.

The stepfather was taken to a Lafayette hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.

The sisters were also taken to a hospital to be checked out. Both have since posted bond and are due in court April 20.
