WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Purdue Center Isaac Haas fractured his elbow on Friday in a win over Cal State Fullerton.
Since then, the question has been: 'Will Haas find a way to play?'
Whether it means shooting with his left hand or finding a brace that keeps his elbow safe, Haas has made it clear he wants to play.
Our sports department confirmed with Purdue's sports medicine department that Isaac's current brace (not approved by the NCAA) was created by Purdue's mechanical engineering department.
We asked Purdue Coach, Matt painter Monday, if he knew of any project designed to create a new brace that would be approved by the NCAA, he said (in part), "I think they're trying to do something like that."
Painter did not give many further details.
