FRANKFORT, Ind. (WLFI)—Monday, a Frankfort woman will find out how much time she'll spend behind bars for killing her great aunt.

Last month, 68-year-old Linda Decker pleaded guilty to the murder of her 96-year-old aunt Betty Wann. It happened at Wann's home on South Third Street in Frankfort in September of 2016.

An autospy showed Wann died from sharp, blunt force injuries to her head, face, chest and neck. A trail of blood led police from the area Wann was killed, to Decker's washing machine and then to a couch where she slept next door. Police said Decker told them she must have done it after they found scratches on her body, bloody clothes, gloves and other DNA evidence linking her to Wann's blood.

Police found a ledger showing Decker owed Wann thousands of dollars.  Decker is also a beneficiary in Wann's will.

Back in April of 2017 Decker was denied bail due to strong evidence in the case.

News 18 will be there for the sentencing Monday afternoon.
