LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Five people have been arrested after an attempted traffic stop led to a large amount of meth and other drugs.

Police say that on Oct. 15 at around 9 p.m., LPD officers noticed a suspicious vehicle in the 1900 block of Everett Street and a traffic stop was attempted.

The driver failed to stop and officers were not able to pursue due to safety concerns, however, the vehicle was located a short while later in the 1200 block of Morton Street. Two people fled the vehicle on foot but police were able to catch them.
