Rob Hughes is the sports director for WLFI. Rob joined WLFI in August of 2013 as a sports director and evening anchor. He received his Master of Arts in Sports Journalism from Indiana University. After graduation he moved to Topeka, Kansas, where he worked as the weekend sports anchor.
“As a Boilermaker Graduate, I am excited to be back in Purdue Country. Covering Purdue sports and the best in high school athletics is a dream job for me,” said Hughes. “I am looking forward to joining WLFI and being a part of our Friday Night Frenzy,” he added.
Rob has been working in Topeka Kansas as a sports reporter covering Kansas Jayhawks and local high school athletics as well.
