Kelly Roberts joined the WLFI Team in June 2012 as a multi-platform reporter. She is thrilled to be working in the Greater Lafayette area because she was born and raised here.
She may be out of her parents' home, but she says it's nice to be just a quick drive away.
After graduating from Central Catholic Jr./Sr. High School in 2007, Kelly headed to Indiana University for college.
She graduated in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in journalism, not to mention some thick skin after fending off the attacks from her good Boilermaker friends.
In July 2011 Kelly started her career with an exciting job as a producer at Fox 59 in Indianapolis.
Although the experience taught her more than she could imagine, Kelly always knew she wanted to be a reporter. Now, she is honored to report "News from Where You Live," because it's the news she grew up with.
In her spare time, for Kelly, nothing beats a nice long run, listening to an iPod filled with good music.
When she isn't at the station or on a run, Kelly loves reading, and making hilarious memories with friends. Most of all, she loves to take advantage of traveling and seeing the world.
This Hoosier is happy to be back in Boiler Country. If you can put the college choice aside, she would love to hear from you via email.
